North Texas District Ministerial Tithes
The primary support of the North Texas Assemblies of God comes from our ministers' tithes. We want every credentialed minister to be aware of the giving requirements adopted and approved by their fellow ministers. The primary support of the North Texas Assemblies of God comes from our ministers' tithes. According to our NTAG Bylaws, credentialed minister (except senior retired or disabled), shall support the district monthly with:
- 55% of the minister's tithe is designated to the NTAG.
- 15% of the minister's tithe is designated for their section.
- Both of the above portions of the minister's tithe should be sent directly to NTAG. The best way to go about doing this is through my.northtexas.ag account.
- We encourage the minister to give the remaining 30% to the local church.
- Tithes are sent directly to the North Texas AG.
- Tithes specifics for Missionaries, Chi Alpha Missionaries, & Chaplains can be found here.
General Council Dues
As a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God, there are annual dues that are paid directly to General Council. The amount is based on credential level.
- Certified- $10/month or $120/year
- Licensed- $20/month or $240/year
- Ordained- $25/month or $300/year
- Senior Retired or disabled ministers do not pay General Council dues.
General Council dues are paid by the minister directly to General Council. The best way to go about doing this is through AG Accounts.
Life Insurance
We understand the unique challenges faced by those in ministry. That’s why we provide a life insurance policy and offer additional voluntary benefits to active credentialed ministers, providing essential financial security and peace of mind.
AG Financial Retirement Fund
The AG Financial 403(b) Retirement Plan was created specifically for AG credentialed ministers. NTAG will deposit 6% of your tithe into your open account with AG Financial.
Once your account is established with AG Financial, please notify our office to ensure your deposits are processed correctly.

Credential Renewal
All ministers must renew your credentials every year. The required two step credential renewal season is held each year from November 1st - December 31st. The required two step process includes a $65 credential renewal fee paid to NTAG and an online renewal form submitted to General Council. If General Council yearly dues have not yet been paid, they will be collected at this time. Senior Retired Ministers do not pay the $65 credential renewal fee to NTAG or the General Council Dues. However, Senior Retired Ministers must still submit the online renewal form to General Council.
Credential Upgrades
As you continue to grow in ministry, consider taking the next step by upgrading your credentials to the Licensed or Ordained level. This advancement not only reflects your commitment to growth but also opens doors to greater ministry opportunities, increased influence, and expanded responsibilities within the church and your ministry.

Homosexuality, Marriage, & Sexual Identity
While some political and religious entities advocate to affirm homosexual practices, same-sex marriage, and alternate sexual identities, the North Texas AG is grateful that the Assemblies of God has been clear and consistent throughout its history on these issues. Since the Bible clearly speaks to the nature of human beings and their sexuality, it is imperative that the Church correctly understands and articulates what it actually teaches on these matters. The only acceptable position for AG churches and ministers on this topic is clearly articulated by the Assemblies of God.
