Speakers

JermEl mayo

Rev. Jermel Mayo was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. During his time at Montclair State University, he was invited to a Bible study where he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. His faith deepened rapidly, leading him to serve as the youth pastor at his home church in Newark, New Jersey, and eventually becoming the lead pastor, a role he held for 18 years.


Throughout his ministry, Jermel has become a sought-after speaker at churches, conferences, and events. An ordained minister with the Assemblies of God, in 2017 he has embraced the call to evangelism, spreading the gospel both in the U.S. and around the world. He is passionate about sharing the message of Jesus Christ and is known for his gift in communicating the gospel effectively.


Jermel has been married to his high school sweetheart for 23 years, and together they have 5 beautiful children. Last year, his 19-year-old daughter was married, and they are now anticipating the arrival of their first grandchild in January.





Mike Mizell

Mike Mizell is Lead Pastor at Bethel Temple in Cleburne, Tx, where he and

his wife Sheila have served since 1993. During this time, Bethel Temple has

experienced tremendous growth and influence within the community. His

leadership has been recognized by the community in awarding Mike a Key to

the City, a Distinguished Mayoral Service Award and citizen of the year.


Mike is a veteran of USAF Special Warfare, serving 6 years as part of the

Tactical Air Command and Control Party. He received two Air Force

Commendation Medals, two Air Force Achievement Medals, Combat

Readiness Medal and the John Levitow award for outstanding leadership.


Mike serves as the Lead Field Chaplain for the Johnson County Sheriff’s

Office where he coordinates operations for county-wide chaplaincy program.

He serves on numerous boards and commissions and in 2024 was elected to

the Johnson County Central Appraisal District. Mike holds an MS in

Emergency Management and a BA in Bible/Theology.


Mike and Sheila have two children and three grandchildren. They enjoy

traveling as much as the can and Mike travels speaking and teaching several

times each year.

Darin Stroud

Pastor Darin Stroud served as youth and young adult pastor at a church in Wichita, Kansas for 12 years before being elected to serve as District Youth Director for the Assemblies of God Kansas. The position evolved to District Ministries Director which he served in that role for 17 years. During his tenure, he led summer camps, mission trips, missions fundraising efforts, and services for Speed the Light, Light for the Lost, BGMC, Fire Bible, and more. Darin gave oversight in calendar, planning, budgets, and leadership for the Men’s, Women’s, Children’s, Seniors, Boys & Girls Departments.  Darin earned an M.Div. at Southwestern Assemblies of God University.


Pastor Darin and his wife, Marleen, both ordained ministers, joined Foundations Church, Grapevine TX in August 2022 as lead pastors. Marleen serves as the Culture & Communications Pastor.


The Strouds have 3 grown children who are all married. Favorite pastimes include family time, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, playing golf, and spoiling their two amazing grandchildren.
